Country's fourth largest IT services company HCL Technologies today said Lucknow is on way to becoming next Information Technology (IT) hub in Uttar Pradesh after Noida.
"Lucknow is the next IT hub of UP and the educated youth of the region would not need to migrate to the metros for employment in future," HCL senior vice president Sanjay Gupta said here today.
HCL is developing Lucknow IT city spanning 100 acres at an investment of about Rs 1,500 crore. The project has been granted a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status by the Centre.
The Government of Uttar Pradesh has created a congenial environment for investors with the launch of progressive and sector focused policies like IT & Start-Up Policy. The policy specially focuses upon the development of IT industry in Tier-II & Tier-III cities of Uttar Pradesh including entire state.
IT City shall play a crucial role in the overall economic development and boost industrial growth of the state. Apart from this, it will directly create approximately 25,000 job opportunities for the youth of the state.
Ancillary support services required for setting up IT industry such as hardware manufacturing, telecommunication equipment and several others shall also create huge career opportunities. It will stop state’s talent from migrating to other states in search of a better career.

(Part-7) SANSKRITI SCHOOL Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of the Sanskriti School to be built in the state capital, on the lines of the acclaimed Sanskriti School in New Delhi. The school will come up at the CG City, in the Chak Gajaria region at Lucknow on 10 acres of land and its buildings and other infrastructure would cost roughly about Rs.109 crore, an official said. In the first phase, the state government has arranged Rs.five crore and the executing agency for the school's construction will be Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Each class in the school will have six sections and in every section, there would be a cap of  maximum 30 students.
